MY STORY
Life on the street was going as well as can be expected until the terrible day when I got caught up in a snare trap. Wire sliced deep into my front left leg, leaving me in horrific pain. I was in shock. Had the person who left this horrendous weapon not cared about an unsuspecting dog like me?
I lost my leg in the end. I was heartbroken. I couldn’t imagine what I’d done to deserve such a cruel fate. My entire life, I’d fended for myself, and I never asked a single human for anything. Now, I wasn’t sure I’d survive. Thankfully, I was found in time and though I’ve had to learn how to get around, I’m grateful for the kind people who helped me get the care I needed.
These days, I do my best to keep a big smile on my face. I’ve also found a safe home in the sanctuary walls and I’m working on building my confidence and trust in people. If I enjoy your company, I might even offer a surprise nose boop!

I'm what you call a shy dog. I live in a run that was built especially for shy dogs like me. Dogs like us are often misunderstood and overlooked for our more outgoing counterparts, but your support means just as much to us. We just need a bit more support, and time and patience go a very long way.
