Hi! I’m Wolfy, a gentle, shy and resilient boy looking for a home.
As you can tell from the nervous look in my eyes, I’ve had a very difficult life. Soi Dog’s rescue officers found me tied to a tree by a rope which had dug deeply into my neck, causing a horrific wound. I’d tried to escape but that only made the rope cut even deeper in.
In the face of such cruelty, I have shown incredible resilience. I fought hard to heal, and what used to be a serious wound is now a simple scar that runs from the top of my head down around my neck.
It’s the emotional scars that run the deepest. I’m wary of new people and keep my distance until I know I can trust them, which can take a while. However, I’ve built a really beautiful bond with the carer in my enclosure over time. I wag my tail and tap my toes when I see him!
I know I can build the same connection with a family. I just need the opportunity to do so. If you can give me that chance, please enquire. The love of an experienced family and the quiet comfort of a home would mean the world to me after everything I’ve been through.
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
