Hi! I’m Fred, an adventurous, confident and friendly boy looking for a home.
For nearly two years, I lived happily with a family of my own, but one day my life took a dramatic turn when they moved overseas and left me behind. The new tenants didn’t want a dog, and there was nowhere for me to go but the streets. Fortunately, someone in the area heard about my situation and reached out to Soi Dog for help. You can see the sadness and confusion on my face in my arrival photo.
A happy, easygoing boy like me would make the perfect companion for any kind of adventure, whether that's walking to the dog park or even hiking up a mountain! I'm always eager to go for walks with the volunteers here at the shelter and will stop to greet people I meet along the way.
Despite my past, I still love people and haven’t lost faith that there's a perfect family out there willing to give me a second chance. Will you help me experience the love of a family and the safety of a home again?
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
