Hi! I’m Alvida, an active, confident and friendly girl looking for a home.
While many welcomed a pet into their family during the pandemic, my story panned out very differently. My family abandoned me when they decided to leave Thailand and return to their home country, leaving me to fend for myself alone.
I was so confused as I didn't understand what I'd done wrong. I'm so grateful to Soi Dog for giving me a safe haven in my time of need, but I long for life as a beloved pet once more.
I can be picky with the kinds of dogs I get along with, so it may be best for me to go to a home with no other dogs and be the king (or queen) of my own castle. With boundless enthusiasm and energy, I’m sure to make it feel like a full house and bring plenty of fun to your life. I may have little legs, but I get the biggest zoomies – just wait until you see it!
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
