Hi! I’m Kongo, a confident, energetic and super friendly boy looking for a home.
I appeared on a beach one day, and the locals suspect I was abandoned there. I quickly lost weight, developed an eye infection and somehow badly injured one of my legs. With treatment at Soi Dog, I lost a toe but my leg was saved, I gained weight and my eyes are now as clear as a tropical sunny day.
My dazzling Hollywood smile is infectious and so is my penchant for having a good time! I love to wrestle with rope toys, roll in the grass and splash in the pool – and I’m looking for someone active to join me.
While I adore people, I’m really not a fan of other dogs and haven’t been able to integrate with them at the shelter. With this in mind, I’ll need to be the only dog in your home.
I’m everything you could possibly need in a dog: a loyal friend, a great outdoor companion and a good-looking sidekick, so please enquire about me, Kongo!
THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
