Hi! I’m Melbo, a confident, playful and sociable boy looking for a home.
For the first year of my life, I lived on the busy streets of Thailand. Those streets got the better of me one day when I was hit by a car. Injured and unable to stand or walk, I was left stranded on a traffic island in the middle of the road. Fortunately, someone spotted me and called Soi Dog who sent a rescue team to collect me.
At their shelter, I received the treatment I needed to battle through my injuries and make a great recovery. I spend my days now going for walks, playing in the pool and winning hearts with my sweet face and confident personality!
It would be wonderful to find a home with experienced humans who understand I need time and guidance to settle into my new world. I am sure that, with that help, I will be a truly good boy! I am also looking for a home with no young children. Please give me the opportunity to start my forever life.
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
