A tale of resilience
Hi! I’m Stonefly, an affectionate, curious and friendly boy looking for a home.
Life is difficult for street dogs, but I had a particularly rough time of it out there. Over the course of just a few months, I was involved in two road traffic accidents and sustained a bad cut to my face. Sadly, it’s suspected that the latter injury was a deliberate one, inflicted by someone who didn’t want me around.
However, us street dogs are resilient, and I was determined to overcome the trauma of my ordeals. You can see from my photo above that I was even smiling when I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter despite the pain I must have been in. That’s just the kind of dog I am!
Around the shelter, I’m known for my one-up-one-down ears, the little scar above my left eye and my affectionate nature. I’m a confident walker when I know my surroundings, but I can be cautious when I’m someplace unfamiliar. I'm sure that the love and reassurance of a family will help build my confidence though, so please enquire!
THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
