Hi! I’m Zuzie, a cautious yet friendly girl looking for a home.
I was brought to Soi Dog for my safety when I was just two months old. I’d been abandoned on the streets and was at the mercy of scary grown-up street dogs who didn’t want me in their territory. I’d also fallen ill with some nasty viruses. In short, I really didn’t stand a chance out there.
The shelter has been my haven ever since, and everything I know about the world I’ve learnt here. As a result, I can be nervous in new situations, and I tend to seek the contact of the person or dog that I’m with for comfort.
In the familiarity of my enclosure, however, I’m much more confident and will approach people with a wagging tail and a smile. This gives the adoptions team hope that I’ll settle into a home just fine and, with the help of my family, learn about the world out there.

THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
