Hi! I’m Celta, a cautious, gentle and shy boy looking for a home.
I was born into a world that didn’t want me. I was one of a litter of pups left to fend for ourselves at a local temple when we were about three months old. I soon fell victim to some illnesses that affect puppies like me, and it was a lot for my young body and mind to deal with. But I’m strong, and I fought the loneliness and rejection and grew up to be a handsome, healthy boy.
I don’t have a lot of experience of the outside world, so new things can scare me, but once I’ve assessed the situation and learnt the routine, I become more comfortable. I walk well on a lead – even better when I have other canine friends with me for support – and I love to chase balls and play with other dogs.
While I can be nervous of new people, I’ve built a lovely bond with my carer over the years – as you can see from my photos. He says I have lots of potential; I just need the chance to shine.
THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
