Hi! I’m Kaolad, an adventurous, affectionate and confident boy looking for a home.
After seeing my smiling face, you might be surprised to hear my shocking story. I was slashed not once, not twice but three times with a machete. The worst injury was to my head, leaving my skull exposed. It’s a miracle I survived.
I was rushed to Soi Dog where I underwent surgery to stem the bleeding and reconstruct my wounds. Thanks to the careful work of the vet team, what were once serious wounds are now fading scars. It’s quite incredible.
However, what’s even more incredible is the fact I hold no grudge against people, despite the cruelty I endured at the hands of them. In fact, I adore people. Any opportunity for a cuddle or a ruffle of my scruffy fur and I’m there!
Some say I’m brave and resilient, but really I think I’m just a natural lover boy! I was born to share all of this love and affection with a family of my own, so please enquire today if you think I could be the one for you.
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
