Ready for love!

Hi! I’m Tahtungtong, an affectionate and gentle girl looking for a home.

I know my name is a bit of a mouthful for non-Thai speakers, so you can call me Tah for short! But in case you were wondering, I’m named after the temple that I was rescued from.

While living there, I sustained a deep wound to my left front leg, and Soi Dog’s rescue officers arrived to a very bloody scene. They rushed me to the shelter where I underwent reconstructive surgery, but unfortunately it wasn’t successful. I still couldn’t place any weight on my leg afterwards, so the vets made the difficult decision to amputate instead.

Life as a three-legged senior dog isn’t all that different really. I just prefer my walks a little shorter and with a few extra stops for cuddles along the way.

I’m a loving girl – as I think you can tell from my photos – and am often seeking out affection, whether that’s gently resting my chin in people’s laps for head scratches or rolling on my back for belly rubs! It will melt your heart.

I’m looking for someone I can share all this love with. It’s tough for seniors to find homes – and even tougher for those with disabilities – but I’m holding onto hope that my family is out there somewhere.
