Hi! I’m Huga, a friendly and sometimes cautious boy looking for a home.
I was about a year old when I was found living with a pack of other dogs on some empty land behind a factory. We had no food or shelter and were struggling to survive. It was such a relief when Soi Dog's rescue team came to collect us and brought us to the safety of the shelter. I'm grateful to be here but, at the same time, I would love to leave and join a family of my own. I've heard that life as a precious pet is wonderful.
Given some time and space, I'm social with people and dogs, so if you have some dogs in your home already, that could work well. I walk confidently on a lead and would love to explore the world with you. If you have treats for me along the way, that would totally make my day!
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
