Hi! I’m Spike, an affectionate and confident boy looking for a home.
No one is quite sure where I came from, but I turned up at a restaurant one day looking dishevelled and injured. It’s likely I’d been abandoned and then hit by a car. What a lot for a small boy like me to bear.
Fortunately, I was rescued and brought to the Soi Dog shelter where the vets shaved my matted fur and gave me the medical treatment I needed. My fur has gradually grown back (check out all my different haircuts above!) and I’m feeling better than ever.
During my treatment, the vets also noticed I’m showing the early stages of kidney disease. I’m doing just fine for now but will need a special diet and some extra checkups in the future. Don’t worry – it’s a manageable condition, and the adoptions team will gladly tell you all about it when you enquire about me.
I hope you do enquire because I think I’d make a great addition to a family. I’m full of love and fond of walks – not to mention I’m the cutest little scruffball around!
THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
