Hi! I’m Tarales, a gentle and sometimes shy girl looking for a home.
I’ve been at Soi Dog since I was just a few months old. A kind lady noticed me wandering through a rubber plantation all alone with a swollen stomach and called for help. I’m so glad she did because my stomach wasn’t my only issue – I had anaemia and some nasty viruses as well. I also had to have knee surgery later on.
Fortunately, I’ve recovered well and grown into a lovely girl with a sweet smile and the most fetching mismatched black-and-white socks!
My tough start to life has left me a bit wary, and I can be shy when I first meet people. However, I grow more comfortable if I'm given a little time, especially if you take me out for a walk! I have to take it easy on account of my knee, but I still enjoy sniffing and exploring.
I'm looking for a calm home with a family that's okay with the fact I might need some time and space to settle in. Can you give me the chance I’ve long deserved?
THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
