Eager to find my family

Hi! I’m Sumoto, a cautious yet energetic and playful boy looking for a home.

I was three months old when I arrived at Soi Dog. My hips were hurting so badly I could hardly stand, and my right eye was inflamed to the point I’d lost vision in it. The only solution was surgery on both: a procedure to restore movement in my hips and another to remove my sore eye.

For a young pup, this was a lot to take in at the time, but it’s all behind me now. These days I’m a handsome young adult with a permanent wink and an eagerness to find the family I never had.

Having grown up at the shelter, I do have a lot to learn, including getting over my fear of the unfamiliar. I think that’s the reason I’m so energetic; I’m like your multi-tasking coworker or friend who needs to keep busy just to stay calm! But once I’ve found my favourite human and my purpose, I’m sure I’ll feel less frantic.

It’s best if I’m either the only dog in the home at first or joining a dog who won’t be too fazed by my overactive frolics. Who knows, maybe they could even soothe my anxiety and help build my confidence. When I’m at my best, I love chasing tennis balls, playing in water and being smothered with hugs, and I can’t wait to share these activities with someone special.
