Hi! I’m Rakpla, an adventurous, confident and friendly boy looking for a home.

I managed to survive the challenges faced by street dogs in Thailand for the first three years of my life. However, my luck ran out one day when I was hit by a car and left unable to walk. Fortunately, a kind person who witnessed the accident came to my rescue. I was taken to Soi Dog where I went on to make a great recovery.

You'd never know I'd had such a difficult start to life. I'm a friendly boy, and it usually only takes me a matter of minutes to warm up to people after meeting them for the first time. After that, I'm ready for all the cuddles and adventures!

At the shelter, my adventures include going for walks, running free in the off-lead areas and even splashing in the swimming pool, all of which I do pretty confidently. It's fun, but I'm ready for some new adventures with a family of my own.

THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.

Initial enquiry

Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.

Interview

Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.

Home Assessment

Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.

Adoption agreement

Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.

Travel arrangements

Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
