Hi! I’m Orpao, a gentle and friendly girl looking for a home.
I was just trying to get by on the streets when I was attacked by another dog. The attack left me with deep puncture wounds to my hip and hind leg. Pained, I ran into a local restaurant for help, and the owner called Soi Dog for help. The vets there treated my wound, and I recovered well.
The ordeal has left me a little tentative, but I’ve grown braver over time. These days, I enjoy going for walks with the volunteers and swimming in the shelter pool – it’s just that I get spooked by noises sometimes.
I will need time and patience while I get used to my new world. However, with the love and security of a family, I'm sure my confidence will continue to grow and you’ll see the friendly girl I am in no time – the girl who seeks out affection and looks at you with the sweetest eyes! THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
