The Story Of Glory...
Glory today, being visited by John Dalley...

De-sexing (Sterilization) has been proven to be the most effective way to help the animals. Soi Dog has de-sexed 29,292 dogs and cats up to the end of July, 2010.
Below are pictures of Tai Chi, one dog, among literally thousands that people like you have helped. Tai Chi was found lying in the gutter, severely malnourished and could not even stand. The first photo you see is of Tai Chi when he was first brought to the shelter. The second photo was taken a month later with his new, loving owner Ina.

Soi Dog aims to set an example for the Asian region on how to humanely reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats through spaying and neutering, and to better the lives and living conditions of the stray dogs and feral cats of Asia.
To this end the Soi Dog Foundation:
- Thousands more have been treated for injury and disease by providing emergency and ongoing veterinary treatment for abused and neglected dogs and cats.

- Provides free veterinary treatment for those who cannot afford it at its clinic in Mai Khao.

- Runs a shelter and rehoming center for over 200 dogs that have been abandoned or abused and subjected to sometimes terrible cruelty.

- Feeds hundreds of dogs and cats in temples and other locations.

The Soi Dog Foundation (SDF) is pleased to announce the release of the full-length feature documentary Soi Dogs, produced by Environment Films. You may view a 3 minute trailer of the film above. The 66-minute documentary is far from the standard charity campaign film. Although it does give an insight into the day-to-day challenges of the foundation, it is also a human story, one that combines tragedy and compassion with humour and excitement. It is inspirational and involving throughout and is suitable for the entire family to watch.

Lillians Challenge
27 May 2010 ![]() Long time Soi Dog supporter and volunteer Lillian Dinic has announced a challenge after reading Soi Dog’s recent newsletter. Lillian has offered to match your sponsorship of a Soi Dog (up to a maximum of 13 matches). |

Soi Dog has completed the initial
purchase of part of the land on which the animal shelter is located.
Soi Dog has negotiated an arrangement whereby the remaining land can be purchased within
a fixed period at an
agreed price of 10 million baht (approx. $300,000 USD). This land currently houses Soi Dog’s clinic,
the puppy and old/weak dog’s runs, as well as other critical facilities. The acquisition of this land is
critical in
sustaining the growth of Soi Dog and continuing our work in helpings the
stray and homeless animals of Thailand.
We are appealing to new and existing supporters for your help in
purchasing the remainder of the land by October, 2011. This
is a critical and immediate initiative for Soi Dog.
